At Habitat for Humanity of Smith County we build more than houses...we transform lives. As an organization, our goal is to eliminate poverty and homelessness from the face of the earth by building adequate and basic housing.
In Smith County, we have been working towards that goal by facilitating the dream of homeownership for over 80 families in Smith County. As our mission continues, we are ensuring that all of our words and actions are for the ultimate purpose of putting shelter on the hearts and minds of everyone in our community. Our main wish is for poverty housing to become socially, politically and religiously unacceptable in and throughout the world.
We are excited to be continuing our mission as we move forth with our goal to build 10 homes in 2009. We have embraced the changing times and have overcome many challenges and we are proud to announce this year alone, we have completed ten homes, which is three times the number of 2007. This is a major accomplishment, and we sincerely appreciate your generosity, dedication and support. Thank you to all of our many sponsors, donors and volunteers.
