What are the benefits of being a Community Cornerstone?
- Receive publicity on Habitat’s blog, in our newsletter and on Facebook
- Boost team spirit.
- Demonstrate community involvement and support.
- Enjoy the gratification of raising awareness about Habitat for Humanity of Smith County.
- Experience the satisfaction of ensuring that simple, decent housing is available to well-deserving, low-income families who want to own their home.
- Strengthen the Smith County community by helping to eliminate substandard housing.
How can my business or organization become a Community Cornerstone?
- Sponsor an event that raises money for Habitat while you have fun – a cookout, swim party, fishing tournament, a contest to build the world’s biggest banana split – the possibilities are endless. Simply invite your clients, customers, friends and family to join the fun and make a donation to Habitat for Humanity in the process.
- Donate prizes to support Habitat events. For example, several of the businesses listed below became Community Cornerstones when they donated items for Habitat’s Big Game Party raffle.

Thanks to KTBB radio for all of their support during our Big Game party at Buffalo Wild Wings. KTBB’s very own Jamie Lent, also a Habitat volunteer, gave a helping hand not only on the radio, but in person at the event where he raffled off prizes.

Buffalo Wild Wings is a delicious bar and grill located on 7916 S. Broadway Ave. The wonderful staff dedicated their Super Bowl evening to helping raise funds for Habitat by wearing T-Shirts, talking up the raffle prizes, and helping us promote the event in a variety of ways.
