Recycling at The Restore

The Habitat ReStore recycling service salvages good and usable building materials from residential homes that are being demolished or remodeled in Smith County. At a competitive fee, our staff and volunteer recycling crews will come on site to efficiently remove and haul materials.

There are many ways that volunteers carry out our mission in Smith County. Volunteers help build homes, re-build homes, staff our Home Improvement Outlet Store, and work in our administrative offices.

elcome to Habitat for Humanity of Smith County.

At Habitat for Humanity of Smith County we build more than houses...we transform lives. As an organization, our goal is to eliminate poverty and homelessness from the face of the earth by building adequate and basic housing.

In Smith County, we have been working towards that goal by facilitating the dream of homeownership for over 90 families in Smith County. As our mission continues, we are ensuring that all of our words and actions are for the ultimate purpose of putting shelter on the hearts and minds of everyone in our community. Our main wish is for poverty housing to become socially, politically and religiously unacceptable in and throughout the world.

We are excited as we continue our mission. Not only are we continuing to build single family homes, in October of 2009 we started ReHabitat. With funding from State and Federal grants, we renovate and repair homes of individuals with critical needs. In the fourteen months of this new program, we renovated or repaired 70 homes, impacting over 115 individual lives. This is a major accomplishment, and we sincerely appreciate your generosity, dedication and support. Thank you to all of our many sponsors, donors and volunteers.
