HABITOURS for Outreach and Advocacy
Habitat has
launched a new Outreach/Advocacy project to bring awareness to the poverty
housing issues facing low-income Smith
County families.

HABITOURS
HABITOURS is
a 1 hour tour of Tyler
neighborhoods in which Habitat for Humanity of Smith County has made a
significant impact with our affordable housing program. The tour visits recent and current HFHSC home
build sites and provides information about the organization’s history and
future.
HABITOURS
are available each month by reservation.
Tours leave the HFHSC ReStore located at 822 W. Front Street promptly at 11:00 am
and last for one hour. The tour is free
and open to the public.

Lunch and Learn with Habitat
“Lunch and
Learn” is an Outreach/Advocacy program established to introduce Habitat’s
program to the community and increase awareness of the poverty housing and
homelessness issues facing our community. The
luncheons last approximately 1 hour and include a tour of our facility, an
overview of our organization’s history, current projects, and our plans for the
future. A complimentary lunch is served
to all attendees. Lunch and
Learn opportunities are available the each month by reservation. The luncheons begin promptly at 12:00 pm in
our office located at 822 W. Front
Street. The
luncheons are complimentary and open to the public.
