I am so pleased to have the opportunity to be involved with
Habitat for Humanity here in Tyler, They place an important role in growing home
ownership right here in our community
The Women's Build Habitat home will be built by volunteer
women's groups from the Tyler Area.
During the 12-week period of home construction, more than 200 volunteers
will help build the house.
"We are thankful for the sponsorship for this home by Home Interiors
and Gifts," said Brad Spradlin, Habitat Director of Development. "Their benevolence is a result of the hard
work of their employees and sales associates not only in the East Texas Area
but nationwide."
Habitat for Humanity provides low cost homes to those in
need. All homeowners must meet credit
and other qualifications; participate in construction to provide "sweat equity"
as a down payment; plus commit to fulfilling the terms of their no interest
mortgage. Habitat for Humanity of Smith
County has provided shelter to over 80 homes serving more then 92 adults and
176 children. For information on
volunteering or supporting Habitat for Humanity call 903.595.6630. The Habitat office and ReStore, a discount
home improvement center is located at 822 W. Front, Tyler.
